To collect Insight Points and unlock skills in your character's skill tree, you just need to survive! You are awarded Insight Points after a certain number of days: you receive your first point after surviving for three days. You can collect up to a total of 15 points after surviving for 68 days. You cannot collect Insight Points when you're a ghost.

There are two ways to unlock skills once you have enough Insight Points:

• While you're in the game, open the hamburger menu (the icon with three lines on the left) and click on 'Character info'. You will then see how many Insight Points you have and which skills you can unlock. 
• Before joining or creating a new world, click on 'Skillset' on the character select screen.

Please note that unlocked skills persist across all worlds and servers and are linked to your account.

Beware: there are more skills to unlock than Insight Points available in total, so you will need to make choices!

However, you can choose to reset your unlocked skills before joining a server by clicking 'Skillset' and then 'Reset Insight' on the character selection screen. Alternatively, you can use a Moon Rock Idol on the Celestial Portal in an existing world to reset your Insight Points in-game.
