Hounds attack periodically throughout the game, and each wave becomes more dangerous over time.

The safest approach is to keep moving to dodge their attacks, then strike after they miss. Wearing armor and carrying a reliable weapon will make these encounters much easier.

As you gain experience, you can also use environmental hazards or nearby creatures to help deal with Hound attacks instead of fighting them entirely on your own.
