There are several lakes where you can stop and fish. 

To catch a fish, cast your line by pressing the right side of the screen, then make the hook drop into the water. 
When a fish bites, a lighter zone will appear in the water.

Reel in the fish by pressing the right part of the screen while your line is in the zone. You can use the joystick to control the position of your line.
